Titanium Dioxide extension using Neuburg Siliceous Earth

Neuburg Siliceous Earth has been demonstrated to effectively reduce Titanium Dioxide in road marking paint.  Key properties such as Colour, Rain Resistance and Abrasion Loss were monitored when substituting Titanium Dioxide with Silfit Z91. Results demonstrated that colour was retained whilst properties such as water wash-off resistance, abrasion and cost saving potential each improved.

When it is used as a filler its unique particle structure offers a range of application advantages:

  • Rapid incorporation
  • No filler agglomeration
  • Excellent dispersion
  • Excellent scratch resistance in plastics, paints and varnishes
  • Low abrasivity
