Produced through advanced processing and micronisation of high purity attapulgite clay, Acti-GelĀ® 208 develops a highly effective three-dimensional gel network at low use levels, providing excellent anti-settling and sag resistance while maintaining smooth flow and application properties. Compared with conventional attapulgite grades, Acti-GelĀ® 208 offers improved ease of dispersion, reduced grit and enhanced clarity, making it particularly suitable for decorative and industrial coatings, construction products, agricultural suspensions and speciality industrial liquids. Its unique rod-shaped particle morphology enables rapid structure build under low shear and controlled breakdown under shear, supporting pseudoplastic flow behaviour and excellent workability. Acti-GelĀ® 208 is widely used as a primary or secondary rheology modifier to stabilise pigments, fillers and solids, reduce syneresis and extend shelf life. It can be used alone or in combination with other thickener technologies to fine-tune rheological profiles across a broad pH range.
