CAS NUMBER: 9004-34-6 Request A Sample Names Cellulose Fibres|Natural Cellulosic Fibres Chemical formula (C₆H₁₀O₅)ₙ Product Overview Cellulose fibres are naturally-derived polymeric fibres obtained from plant sources and processed to defined lengths, aspect ratios and surface characteristics for industrial use. These fibres impart mechanical reinforcement, improved wet and dry strength, controlled rheology and enhanced handling properties when incorporated into formulated systems such as coatings, adhesives, jointing compounds and composite matrices. As a long-chain carbohydrate polymer, cellulose contributes structural integrity and resistance to deformation, enabling improved crack resistance, internal cohesion, formulation stability and dimensional control. In liquid systems, cellulose fibres can improve body, reduce sag and enhance static and dynamic mechanical resistance. In composite applications, they enhance stiffness and add reinforcement without significant density increase. Cellulose fibres are used where natural reinforcement, controlled rheological behaviour and improved mechanical performance are required.
