This results in a refractory material with very low thermal expansion, excellent thermal shock resistance and strong mechanical integrity, making it suited to demanding high temperature processes such as investment casting shell moulds, kiln furniture and general refractory systems. The controlled calcination process used in Molochite generation creates a hard, refractory granular mineral with consistent particle morphology that enhances keying and mechanical stability in bonded refractory mixes and ceramic formulations. Its absence of crystalline silica (quartz or cristobalite) also removes related health risks and helps ensure worker safety in application environments. Molochite products are supplied in a range of dedusted mesh sizes and grades suitable for use as refractory aggregates, slurries and particulate additives where thermal stability, dimensional control and structural performance are critical.
