Product Overview

Sunigum® acrylate terpolymers are pre-crosslinked elastomeric modifiers based on butyl acrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile with functional carboxylic groups. These elastomeric terpolymers provide enhanced flexibility, weatherability, heat resistance and chemical resistance when blended into engineered thermoplastics and elastomer systems. The functional carboxylic chemistry also enables Sunigum® to act as a compatibiliser in polymer blends.

Grades in the Sunigum® range include Sunigum® P95, a general purpose elastomer with outstanding heat and UV resistance and soft touch attributes; Sunigum® P2100, designed for low compression set and improved dynamic performance in PVC and TPU systems; and Sunigum® P7395, a medium viscosity elastomeric modifier with balanced performance characteristics. These grades are selected for toughness, flexibility and to enhance surface aesthetics in thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounds, gaskets, profiles, hoses, tubing and other functional rubber/plastic applications.

Sunigum® elastomers are compatible with polar thermoplastics such as TPU, TPC, PVC, ASA, ABS and SAN, and can be blended with non-polar polymers through compatibilisation techniques to improve overall compound performance.
