Product Type:

Speciality Modifiers

Applications:

Adhesives & Sealants, Composites

BMI-H is a polymerisation additive for the modification of epoxy resins and is manufactured by K.I. Chemicals (a subsidiary of Ihara Chemicals). N,N-(4,4-diphenylmethane) bismaleimide, used to modify a number of resins for high temperature performance; as a cross linker in many high-performance applications.

Key Properties:
  • Composites – BMI-H is used to achieve superior levels of heat resistance / BMI-H is NON-TOXIC / Low melting point.
  • Adhesives & Sealants – BMI-H is used in radiation-cured compounds and in chloroprene rubber compounds, to improve the adhesion of the rubber to the textile reinforcement, e.g. in the manufacture of drive belts/ BMI-H is used in rubber adhesives where high heat resistance and anti-vibration are required.
