Lithopone is white pigment formed for a co-precipitate of zinc sulphide and barium sulphate. The ratio of Zinc Sulphide to Barium Sulphate determines the grade and properties. Lithopone can’t compete with TiO2 in terms of raw hiding power but can be used alongside TiO2 to help reduce overall systems costs. Additionally, Lithopone can be used as a white pigment if low photoactivity or low hardness is required.
Key Properties:
Titanium Dioxide Reduction, Low Photoactivity (Less Yellowing), Low Hardness, Easily Dispersed.
