Resins are frequently used as additives when processing rubber. Primarily, resins are applied to improve processing and to modify the product’s physical characteristics.
Dispersion, Miscibility when blended with polymers, Tack, Hardness
The homogenisator 501 improves the homogeneity of rubber blends from polymers with different polarities or viscosities. This hydrocarbon resin provides a better building tack for raw compounds, and facilitates the processing during mixing, extruding, and calendering
Deotack P and Deotack 70 DL show positive effects on the tackifying properties of compounds with low tack. It is also especially suited for oil resistant products, as it is hardly extractable from vulcanizates by aliphatic hydrocarbons and mineral oils and therefore provides improved swelling properties.
