Transforming Concrete with Acti-Gel

Transforming Concrete

In improving product stability, increasing production efficiencies and reducing the risk of costly mishaps on construction sites, Acti-Gel® 208 is revolutionizing concrete.

Acti-Gel® 208 is a high purity hydrated magnesium aluminosilicate produced from a patented production process at Active Minerals International LLC. Self-dispersing, it offers exceptional rheology modification, anti-settling and thixotropic properties. The precise process and advantages are covered in more detail below, but in general Acti-Gel® 208 will make your concrete – Flow Better, Place Better and Settle Better.

The Process

Acti-Gel(R)
Acti-Gel in operation

Acti-Gel® 208 is made up of electrically charged particles which can form and breakdown quickly from 3-dimensional lattices depending on the solutions state.

Static – At rest, the particles form 3-dimensional lattices which suspend other particles within the solutions.

Dynamic – In motion, the lattice structures quickly disperse, lowering viscosity and facilitating movement in the direction of flow.

Return to Static – The structure will return to the lattice structure – a process which can be repeated indefinitely.

The Advantages

The Process – Environmentally safe, Non-hydroscopic, Temperature Stable, pH tolerant, Shear Stable, Indefinite Shelf life.

In Effect – Superior particle suspension, stabilizes mix designs, improved flowability, increased pump ability, improved formula performance.
